In a recent study, 708 leaders were analyzed: 20% were arrogant, and 14% were humble. Surprisingly, humble leaders were rated at the 66th percentile in overall effectiveness, significantly higher than the 34th percentile for arrogant leaders.

Humility? Really? That’s what it takes??
Think about it –
- Jesus healed and saved people from all sorts of chronic diseases
- Brought peace and safety to entire communities
- Did things the world had never seen before
But never took credit. Instead, he said:
‘I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.” (John 5:30)
Jesus taught us that with humility, we can do the same healing works
“He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” (John 14:12)
HUMILITY THAT OVERCOMES THE WORLD
On Saturday, June 15, starting at 2 pm ET for one hour, we will discuss true humility and how it relates to God and His healing and saving laws.
We will see how committed Jesus was not to take credit and not to force a human agenda.
The hope is that we can all learn to express more humility ourselves and see how it empowers us to overcome complex challenges.
We may even discover that humility helps find ways to bring harmony and peace to a chaotic and unpredictable family, community, or church – and around the world.
And it starts with humility
and begins with each of us
About Our Speaker
- Mark McCurties has had multiple opportunities to witness God’s healing power .
- One thing he knows – this healing power is just as alive and relevant today as for the men and women of the Bible.

He loves working with young people – and has worked in the field of education as a:
- Summer camp director
- Outdoor educator
- Athletics coach
- Resident counselor
- In 2010, with a desire to focus solely on healing through prayer, Mark entered the full-time public practice of Christian Science.
- Now, Mark is a Christian Science practitioner, international speaker, and member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship.
- In this healing role, he daily helps people through a practical, scientific approach to prayer.
